Did you realize that you are running your knit along at the same time Laura is running one?
Hi Lauren,
Yes, I am aware that Laura is having a MKAL at that time. I have signed up for it and I am planning on doing it.
This project has been in the works since last December, when my local yarn shop where I teach asked me to create an MKAL for their store. I designed the pattern, knitted it up and sent it to the tech editor, who is delayed by other projects. By the time I get it back and ready to publish, I will be in Seattle at Vogue Knitting Live, taking one of Laura's classes there.
The reason for the April 12th release date is that my store is open every second Friday of the month for a community wide event. The MKAL launch will be the featured event for the store.
We also chose that date as our snowbirds will be leaving very soon.
My students and the shop customers have been aware that I have been working on this and they have also given some great ideas for the MKAL.
The timing is truly a coincidence and no harm is intended.
Regards,
Karen
