During the first week of April my husband had a landscaper come in to add water to 2 garden beds that he had built for me. We found the trellis at Lowes.
Some of the seedlings I needed arrived in a few boxes from Sweet Corn Organic Nursery.
Some of the plants game from a local, family owned nursery.
My husband added in some star jasmine for the patio.
And some new patio furniture that needed to be assembled.
The plants and seedlings were added in to the beds.
Chocolate mint was container planted along with animal grass.
This is what the house looked like a year ago when we moved in.
This is what the house looked like a few weeks ago.
Plants in the box garden keep yielding for us.
Mint is slowly overtaking it's container and now has some rosemary along side.
The east facing wall gets most of the heat. There are sunflowers, melons, squash, beans, cucumber, grapes, onions, lavender and peppers on this side.
This old umbrella was rolling down our street in the wind a few weeks ago. It now provides shade to the east wall.
The west wall gets afternoon shade. It is growing like crazy! I have to tie up the tomatoes every week because they are growing so fast. This wall has beans, eggplant, peppers, lettuce, basil, cilantro, tomatoes, edamame, sugar snap peas, tomatoes, strawberries, boysenberries and more tomatoes.
Small harvest for dinner one night from the box garden.
Happy Gardening!
Regards,
Karen
