Patterns, patterns, patterns!

Here at One Planet Yarn and Fiber, we love patterns to showcase our gorgeous yarns and we especially love being able to provide you with beautiful, unique, and fashion forward patterns created exclusively for us by our fabulous design team. We are once again thrilled to announce the release of our newest pattern, the Arrowhead Lace Cardigan designed by the very talented Debbie O'Neill. Debbie has been knitting for nearly 20 years and has been teaching knitting and designing knit wear for the past 10 years. Her designs have appeared in Interweave Knits, Knit Simple, the Ethnic Knits series by Donna Druchunas and various House of White Birches books. She also has a line of self published patterns and works with a variety of yarn companies and small retailers. When she is not knitting, designing, or working her day job, Debbie spins, weaves, quilts, sews garments, does needlework, and spends as much time as possible with her family. While Debbie doesn’t have a blog, you can find her on ravelry.com.

The Arrowhead Lace Cardigan is a surprisingly straightforward knit with elegant results. The body is lacy, while the sleeves are solid with a lacy cuff lending a bell effect. Dress it up with a skirt or wear it with your favorite jeans. The pattern is shown here in lovely Lanas Puras Melosa, fingering weight yarn, in the Fern Green colorway. The pattern is sized all the way from women's x-small through 3x. A size small uses only 3 skeins of Lanas Puras Melosa!

The pattern is available as part of a yarn kit or as a single pattern download. It would be a wonderful addition to your wardrobe or would make a special holiday gift for a favorite friend or family member.
Another new arrival in our store is the brand new! Rebecca Magazine. Rebecca knitting pattern magazines from Germany are filled with gorgeous fashion-forward knitting patterns.. This new edition has 41 incredible fall designs to fit bust sizes 30-42". Patterns include accessories, sweaters and adorable dresses! Be sure to pick one up before they sell out!

Keep any eye or two on this space for more patterns and special treats to come!

Rebecca Magazines and GGH Yarns!

We are really excited to have just added Rebecca pattern magazines and GGH yarns from Germany to One Planet Yarn and Fiber! Rebecca Magazines are well known for their fashion forward designs and we think you will find at least five or six patterns within each issue that you will want to make just for yourself!!

If you go to One Planet and click on each Rebecca issue you will be taken to a web page that shows a sampling of the patterns from each issue along with the yarns you need!

My creation

We have three of the GGH yarns in stock right now in fairly large quantities with more colors coming. GGH Bel Air is an amazing yarn. Bel Air is a soft and lofty yarn that almost looks like a single ply but it isn't. It is spun from pure merino and just a touch of nylon has been added for strength. We have a new yarn this year from GGH, Cumba, which is also very soft and luxurious. It is spun from merino, alpaca and microfiber. Then we added a luxury staple, GGH Soft Kid. There is an entire pattern book devoted to GGH Soft Kid. This yarn is so soft and it is even next to your skin soft because it is spun from kid mohair. The patterns are really fantastic so make sure to click to look at them!

We are having an introductory special for the rest of September only, 10% off Rebecca magazines and GGH yarns. Use the coupon code GGH at checkout!! You must spend at least $ 35.00 to receive this discount, however! We know you will love making projects with these gorgeous yarns.

Coming next week.......another new pattern for Lanas Puras Melosa yarns from Pam Covert who designed the Llama Bag, a new shipment of yarns from Chewy Spaghetti, and more photos showing you Jo Sharp designs along with the yarn requirements. Jo Sharp yarns are too special for words and so are the patterns. So we have started scanning the pattern photos and listing yarn requirements for them. This will be a big project so stay tuned. But you can see a mosaic below of some of the patterns for Alpaca Silk Georgette yarn which we have in stock. The yarn requirements are listed on this page (CLICK HERE) of our website.
