I have restocked a little Hand Maiden Lady Godiva and I was able to restock some if the kit colors for the Never Not Knitting Cedar Leaf Shawlette kit.   This is by far one of the best selling kits in the shop. I have the kit available in Cedar, Ruby Red and Smoke in limited quantities.

Separately, I also still have available these colors in Lady Godiva - Glacier, Hemlock, Mineral, Ocean, Plum, Red Maple, Sangria and Straw in enough quantity to also do the kit.  The kit requires 2 skeins.  If you want the colors that are not in a kit, just let me know when you order the yarn and I will email you the Cedar Leaf Shawlette pattern.

I am currently working on my own shawlette in Hemlock!

Virgin Trip in Our Airstream Moho!

We finally did it.  We went camping this past weekend in our 1987 Airstream 345 motor home.  We've owned it for 2 years now and this is the first time it went camping.  We've been refurbing it mechanically all that time.

I left last Thursday and took wee Bear with me and drove up to Munds Park, Arizona.  My husband drove up on Saturday evening.  All worked well, except the plumbing, the cable tv hookup, the hot water heater, the dvd player....  Oh, yeah, we were camping! The shower flooded Saturday night as the gray water tank was full and I was not hooked up to the sewer system.  The cable tv hook up did not work so the wire was threaded through one of the screen windows.  The pilot on the hot water heater wouldn't stay lit, quick showers.  The dvd player had no power to it.

On a fibery note, I knitted a scarf for Hugs For Japan using Lanas Puras Melosa worsted weight yarn in the new Lettuce colorway.  It was perfect for this project!  There are more new colors coming soon!

I also spun up some more BFL for my Tour de Fleece project.  I'mm hoping to get some more spinning in before the event ends on July 24th.

I added some more rows to my Shipwreck Shawl.  I am now on row 107.

Karen

Introducing Pattern Designer Jane Richmond!

I am pleased to announce that a new pattern designer, Jane Richmond, has agreed to allow OPYF to sell her patterns.  There are 33 patterns currently available.

Here is what Jane has to say about herself-

My mother taught me to knit when I was 5 years old on a pair of wooden chopsticks and some scrap yarn. She bought me my first set of needles and I would make these tight little swatches. I must have lost interest eventually because as a teenager I had to relearn on a pair of metal grilling skewers. I haven’t been able to stop since.
Deciding on a pattern has always given me “knitter’s block”, leafing through hundreds of designs at my LYS would always inspire ideas but ultimately I could never decide. This, along with my incredibly nerdy love of math, is why I design my own patterns.
My needles and I reside on Vancouver Island along with my darling husband, beautiful daughter, and lovable lap-cat Magoo.

Happy Knitting!

Karen
