I started designing this pattern last winter after I went to the farmers market one chilly morning. My hands were cold, but I needed my fingers free to be able to make my purchases. I really needed a pair of fingerless mitts. It took me a year to finally finish the pattern. Welcome to
Rosemary Mitts!
I had knitted one mitt and when I tried it on the thumb was too narrow. I started making another mitt and stopped at the thumb gusset, but life got in the way. I finally ripped it out and started over last fall and completed the pattern over the holidays. Then my search started for a new graphic designer. I have too credit designer Amy Herzog with getting me in touch with Julie Matthews. Julie did a great job making me a new, simple pattern template. I am just beginning to learn how to use it.
You can purchase the pattern on the website, Ravelry, Craftsy or Etsy.
These fingerless mitts are knit in the round using the magic
loop method of knitting. You can use DPNs if you choose to.
