Hawaii Trip - Museum

We did go to a couple of museums on our trip.  We went to the Academy of Arts where there was this fantastic display by a famous fiber artist from Japan.  The Hawaiian Handweavers Guild told me about the exhibit before we left home. Akihiko Izukura is the imaginative mind behind these huge weavings.  The artist was also there teaching some workshops which I was not able to attend.  The museum is housed in several buildings and there are some spectacular exhibits there.

This is a single Banyan tree.  There are people sitting at the base of some of the trunks.  This was across the street from the Academy.

Aloha!
