Off the Beaten Path - Our Hotel in Madrid

We had a wonderful experience in Madrid at our hotel.  The hotel is part of the Marriott chain.  The Palacio del Retiro is part of the Autograph Collection.  I used up all my Marriott points for our stay here.  The hotel was formerly the private home of the high speed trains in Spain.  They still own the house and the hotel managers agreed to keep everything as original as posible .  Wow, I guess I need to by some railroad stock!  The home was built in the early 1900's.
