Thought You Might Like This - Red Scarf Project

This spring I heard about the Red Scarf Project.  It is a group of volunteers that knit or crochet red scarves and then they are donated to a charity that provides care boxes to children who have gone through the foster system.

These children have no care packages coming from family and friends, so the Red Scarf Project corrects that for them.  I knitted 2 scarves using red yarn dyed just for the project by Juniper Moon Farm.  These scarves will end up in Valentine's Day goodie boxes for these children who are making their way through college without any parents.
