Save the Children/Caps for Good Campaign

The National NeedleArts Association is excited to announce their partnership with Save the Children/Caps for Good Campaign, along with Warm Up America.

Save the Children/Caps for Good Campaign asks all Americans to pick up their knitting needles and crochet hooks to help save the lives of nearly four million newborn babies in the developing world. TNNA is asking you to reach out to customers, friends and family to knit and crochet caps. They will display all of the knit and crochet caps at the TNNA Winter Show in Long Beach, starting on January 6 and from there the caps will be distributed to new moms and their babies through Save the Children's programs in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Here is the link for the pattern on my website.  Please consider helping with this project.

Regards,
Karen

That's a great cause, Karen. We had lots of people knit caps for a local charity last month, "Newborns in Need." We got some lovely hand knit caps and booties! Baby hats are so easy to whip out - I hope lots of people participate! I bet I can make a hat or two! xo

Cindy,
The message came in an email from the TNNA and I just couldn't help but to post it. This spring I knit about 6 hats for Sloan Kettering in New Orleans and then I knit 2 scarfs for the Foster Children college goodie boxes. It feels so good to help.
