March 15th Blog Contest!

Since the last contest went so well, to win a skein of any Schaeffer yarn that was in stock, I decided to offer that as a prize again.  But what is the contest?  What do you need to do to win? Tell me what you would do with your prize!

The winner will be chosen by the random online number generator on March 15, 2012. Please be sure to leave me your contact information so I can let you know if you have won.  You can also email me the information.

Good Luck!
Regards,
Karen

I can see a pair of fingerless gloves in this yarn--what a beautiful texture!!!Am thinking of a pair using straight needles knit from the side rather than in the round--re a pair from today's Knitting Daily e-book of gloves mitts, and mittens!

I can think of several fine uses for a skein - fingerless gloves, a shawlette or cowl. Yes, cowl - definitely!

I would use my skein of yarn to make a shawlette.

Scheaffer yarn would make a lovely shawlette. I find you cannot have too many shawls and Shawlettes. They can change a plain old tshirt into something everyone talks about. I love it. You could actually be wearing your Jammies and no one would notice. Its the hand knit shawl around your shoulders that they are looking at. LOL I love it. And I never out grow them like my lovely hand knit sweaters.

A Skein of Schaeffer for me would have to be a shawlette. No sense hiding the lovely yarn on your feet. And you will never out grow the shawl. Not like making a sweater and finding you gained weight and can't wear it anymore. A beautiful handknit shawlette gets admired not matter what else you are wearing. :)

I think either a shawlette or a pair of gauntlets, depending upon the yardage and the weight, would be the perfect use of a skein of Schaeffer yarn!

Laura said...

I'd still do a shawl... and I'd still use Audrey or Andrea. I might throw in a few beads. I just would love to win Schaefer yarn!
