Last month we sold a few patterns from the Natural Dye Studio. These funds, in total will be presented to Scottsdale Strays Animal Rescue early this month. Thank you to those who donated.
Those of you who know me also know that I own several CSA fiber farm shares. A CSA fiber farm that I was unaware of in New England had a horrible barn fire. OPYF has donated to the cause monitarily and with a prize. Here is the link if you would like to become involved. There are several great prizes that are being given away with this fundraiser. There is a new pattern from Never Not Knitting. It is called the Cream and Sugar Cowl. It uses Madelinetosh tosh sock or prairie yarns. The yarns are en route from Madelinetosh. The pattern is available now.
I will be using this pattern for my first ever OPYF Knit Along (KAL) We will cast on as soon as the yarn arrives here. I'll put the date up on the Blog, Ravelry and Facebook Fan pages. All projects should be posted to the Ravelry page once it is set up.
Which leads me to my next topic, the February Blog Contest! The prize for this contest is a 4 ounce hand painted roving from OPYF. There will be 3 winners chosen at the end of the month. In order to enter, you must sign up as a subscriber to the blog and post a positive comment on the February Blog Contest page. You can just say hi or you can write a little story about what you are currently working on. Winners will be chosen during the first week of March 2011.
