Thank goodness I had knitting along with me. I worked on 2 patterns. The first one is called Flambe from Michelle Miller the fickleknitter. I am using Ella Rae sock yarn. The picture below is from the Ravelry pattern page.
The second pattern is a free download on Ravelry. It is called Multnomah and it is designed by Kate Elsa of helloknity. I am using a skein of madelinetosh sock I won in a contest last year. This pattern is not as easy as it looks. The instructions are unclear about how to knit the feather and fan. I just had to use common sense to make sure the pattern was knitted correctly and the feathers and fans lined up in succeeding rows.
So now it is Saturday morning and we are out of clothing. I drove over to the local Laundromat to do the wash. What luck that it was next door to the local yarn shop. Imagine that!
What a great store! The Needlecraft Store not only had knitting and crochet supplies, but beading supplies, fiber, buttons, mugs and so much more that the shop spreads into a second building on the back. I picked up these cute stitch markers there.
I also purchased 3 skeins of Alps Dazzle. I couldn't help myself! The yarns on the left came from another shop we visited in La Jolla. The yarns are from Berroco. So those are the purple/black in the back and the pink on the left.
Alps Dazzle.
Here are my last 2 pictures from the trip taken Saturday night.
Happy Knitting!
Regards,
Karen
